The Pan-Asia Research Institute (PARI), a Japan-based multi-modal Asia and Pacific-focused think tank, is hosting a roundtable discussion styled ‘Materialising Japan-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership: Diplomatic, Economic and People-to-People Relations’ today (Saturday).
The programme will be held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka.
State minister for foreign affairs Md Shahriar Alam will be present at the programme as the chief guest, Japanese ambassador in Dhaka Iwama Kiminori as the special guest and FBCCI president Mahbubul Alam as the guest of honour. Former ambassadors of Bangladesh in foreign missions, Diplomatic Correspondents Association Bangladesh-DCAB president and Daily Sun editor Rezaul Karim Lotus, Apex Footwear Ltd managing director Syed Nasim Manzur, PARI president Yuji Ando, PARI executive director Dr Abdullah-Al-Mamun, Dhaka University International Relations Department chairperson Dr Lailufar Yasmin and Japanese Studies Department chairman Dr Jahangir Alam will be present as discussants there.
